The Best Flowers Are The Ones You Can Eat!

Just a quick post about the birthday bouquet I made for my SIL Jen. I really liked this one.

If you read Hick Heaven, you've already heard they were tasty. I enjoy making cookie flowers for my loved ones and I hope they enjoy receiving them.

What Do Two Field Trips, Four Cakes And The Blue Man Group Have In Common?

.....they make for a busy week! Yes, I had two field trips, made 4 cakes, and attended the Blue Man Group show this week. Yikes!!! I am so TIRED!

Monday-reasonably uneventful (the calm before the storm maybe)
Tuesday-spent all day at the church office working
Wednesday-two hour field trip (trapped with strange beings called third graders), shop for cake supplies, bake 4 sheet cakes and prep for decorating
Thursday- decorate four cakes, eat nothing, work feverishly , muster energy to clean cake mess, fix myself up and attend Blue Man Group with husband, crab at husband due to exhaustion and hunger :( :) I'm glad he is *SO* wonderful
Friday- drive preschool teacher in embarrassingly untidy car, apologize to teacher for untidy car, go pumpkin hunting with preschoolers, deliver four cakes, clean house? NO, come home collapse on sofa!

Christmas Cookie Survey

Can you believe that some stores are stocking their Christmas isles already! Wow, we're not even past Halloween yet let alone Thanksgiving! I think next year they might start setting up after Independence Day!

Camera Happy?

It's good to be home. If you didn't know, we spent some time with my Grandparents in TN last week. We had a (well documented) wonderful visit! I took around three hundred pictures!! I won't post every one, that would just bore you beyond belief. We packed a lot of adventuring into a few short days that's for sure.
