A Great Day

We had a great Easter. We were able to spend the day with Spencer's family. My in-laws made a great dinner and even included hot dogs for the little ones! Sometimes Tyson can be a picky eater so it really helps to have hot dogs sometimes!! We celebrated the true meaning of Easter of course. We don't do the Easter Bunny but we did let the kids hunt eggs with the other kids. We don't tell them that the eggs are from the Easter Bunny, I'm not sure they even get the connection of egss and Easter. They just enjoy the activity aspect. Its not that we have some vendetta against the Easter Bunny, we just want them to know what Easter is really about. We colored eggs this year (as you can see) which is something we haven't done in a few years... mostly because of time issues. We had been very busy in recent years around Easter and well most holidays. Its nice to have some family time now! I love enjoying my boys. Sometimes we just watch them playing and enjoying life and we're so happy and a little sad too because we know they won't stay little forever. Right now I just want to be thankful for every moment and give them wonderful memories. I am very blessed!

Perhaps next year you'll have an "Easter Bunny" hunt like we are. lol. We're gonna give the kids paint ball guns and set up a bunch of bunny decoys around the property. We always tell our kids the same thing about the Easter bunny and Santa. That they are so happy about Christ that they give gifts to celebrate him.
